Staff at Arcadian are licensed, early-childhood educators. Many with specialized training.

BRIDGET

Executive Director

Bridget has worked in Early Childhood Education for 18 years and holds her Early Childhood Education Diploma. She started working at Arcadian in 2007 and in 2019 was hired as the Executive Director. She is happily married with three children and lives with her family in the beautiful Cowichan Valley. Bridget actually attended Arcadian when she was 4-5 years old and shares some fond memories of the Centre.

LYNN

ECE/IT

Lynn began her ECE training in 1993 in Halifax Nova Scotia. A short time later her dad retired from the Military and her family relocated to Duncan. She currently holds her ECE and infant and toddler certification. She has worked at Arcadian since 2007 when the Infant and Toddler program first opened. In her time off she loves being with family and spending time at the ocean.

RANDEAN

ECE

Randean obtained her Early Childhood Education certificate in July 2010, and has worked at Arcadian since shortly after. She has been happily married for 30 years and has raised 3 children. Randean is the grandma to a fabulous grandson. Her family moved to this beautiful island many years ago and they absolutely love the west coast life. In her spare time she really enjoys spending time with family, going for hikes in the forest and walking along the many wonderful beaches with her dogs.

DANIELLE

ECE/IT

Danielle has been in the Early Childhood Field for 10 years. She graduated from VIU in 2014 with her ECE Diploma which includes specialties in Infant and Toddler development and Children with Special Needs. She is continuing once again with schooling through the Justice Institute of BC to obtain her Community Care Licensing certificate. In her downtime Danielle likes learning about plants, true crime and racing.

COURTNEY

ECE - Currently on Leave

Courtney was born on February 14th, 1990. She met her partner in July 2008 and they have two sons Kayson and Kru. Courtney studied Early Childhood Education at Sprott Shaw College and graduated in January 2012. She started working at Arcadian in February of 2012 and has been able to work in the Preschool, Infant Toddler & 3-5 programs. Courntey loves this field of work and her job as these children are very important to me. Her most favorite thing is being a Mom!

CATHY

ECE

Cathy is one of the Educators in the 3-5 program. She has worked at Arcadian since 2015 and has been in the Childcare field for over 16 years. She grew up in Vancouver and has 3 children of her own. Cat believes childhood is best spent getting dirty, exploring outside and creating amazing memories full of art, songs and mud. Providing these opportunities for children and watching them learn and grow is one of her favorite parts about working in this field.

TIFFANY

ECE

Tiffany was born and raised in Victoria B.C. She moved to the Cowichan Valley in 2014. Tiffany graduated in 2016 from Pacific Rim with her Basic Early Childhood Education certificate. She has been working with children in many different capacities since she was a child. Tiffany has recently completed her infant and toddler training through the College of the Rockies.

AIMIE

ECE

Aimie was born and raised in the Cowichan Valley and holds her early learning Childhood Diploma. In 2015 she was hired as the Preschool Assistant at Arcadian. She hopes to be like her Auntie Wendy and make a tremendous impact on our Community. She hopes to create a healthy, safe space for everyone at Arcadian. She enjoys snowmobiling and hiking with her best friend and dog Sleeman.

KATHRYN

ECE

Kathryn was born and raised in Duncan, and graduated from Vancouver Island University in 2016 with her Early Childhood Education Diploma with a specialization in infant and toddler and special needs. She loves house plants, travelling, true crime and spending time with her favorite humans.

LISA

ECEA

Lisa completed her assistant Early Childhood education course in 2012 and has been working at Arcadian since 2013. She is married to her husband Neil and they have two boys, Jack and Levi. Lisa comes from a big family and is very family oriented. She loves to camp and spend time outdoors. Lisa is passionate about working with children and making an impact on each of their lives.

ELANA

ECE

Elana started working in Early Childhood education in 1993, operating a license not required daycare out of her home while her song was young. She has completed her basic ECE and eventually plans to complete her diploma. Elana started working at Arcadian in 2016 and she loves art, especially, working with acrylic paint.

JENNIFER

Jenn was hired at Arcadian in 2020 to work with children with diverse abilities. She currently holds her RA certificate and is planning to attend school in the near future for her Early Childhood Education.

MARIO

Mario has worked at Arcadian since 2017. He currently works with a child with diverse abilities. He has lots of experience in childcare and has worked at other centres throughout the valley.
